Oaksey House General Manager
WORKING HOURS
10am – 2pm, Monday – Friday
SALARY
£13.50 – £14 per hour depending on experience
START DATE
As soon as possible
This role requires a friendly, warm, and confident individual who enjoys being in a customer-facing environment, has excellent administration, organisational and communication skills, and is computer literate with knowledge of the usual MS Office suites.
Principle duties and responsibilities:
- Receive visitors on site and via the telephone in a friendly and polite manner Triage patients and manage the waiting list Deal with and direct IJF general enquiries Make clinical appointments Order supplies Scan documents onto the clinical system File paper records in a timely manner Take payments and deal with small financial issues Take minutes at various meetings Undertake general administrative tasks to support the Clinical team Support the wider Oaksey House team in executing events held at the Centre Handling of medical documentation for clinicians and patients Understanding of clinical / legal terminology, or a willingness to learn Maintain standards in reception area and waiting lounges, including replenishing refreshments To work within all Injured Jockey Fund policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
- To ensure that all documentation, data, and patient information is addressed in line with GDPR
Person Specification
Desirable skills and attributes
Friendly, hardworking, and enthusiastic
Awareness of/interest in horseracing
Excellent administration, communication, and IT skills
Medical secretarial knowledge
Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages
Sound knowledge of Caldecott Principles and GDPR
Ability to prioritise and multi-task
Happy to work unsupervised if needed and able to use own initiative
