SEARCHES

Over the years, JETS has helped numerous employers to recruit individuals who have made valuable contributions to the success of their business or organisation. We have a database of former jockeys or jockeys looking to make a move when the time is right. Each is professionally known to us, which means we can save you the time and cost of outside advertising by targeting prospective recruits and drawing up an interview shortlist for you.

ADVERTISING VACANCIES

If you have a vacancy or work experience opportunity which you feel may be of interest to JETS’ candidates, we can promote these opportunities via a number of different channels including our Job Board, social media and regular Enews.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we do not charge employer fees as such but with the IJF as one of our main stakeholders, we do invite employers in the racing industry to make a donation through JETS, to the Injured Jockeys Fund, if we are successful in finding them employees. We reserve the right to charge pre-agreed, nominal fees to commercial employers outside the racing industry. Any income from fees will be re-invested into the Scheme.

WHY EMPLOY JOCKEYS….

Jockeys are high achievers who are motivated by success. They have already demonstrated they have initiative and the ability to market themselves relying on strong communications skills in order to be successful and get rides. They have first-hand knowledge of horses and understand the horseracing industry.

Many of our candidates have strong vocational and specialist practical skills and qualifications or are studying to degree level and beyond in a varied range of subjects.

Find out more about the range of positions taken up by jockeys in our Jockey Stories section and read testimonials from happy employers who have recruited former jockeys.
