Location: Bath Racecourse
Bath Racecourse is looking for a motivated, out-going and dedicated individual to join their team in the role as Clerk of the Course.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage and motivate a team, as well as an aptitude for prioritising under pressure.
Previous experience within the racing industry is essential for this role.
Managing a team to produce the racing surface and all associated areas to a high standard.
Running each race day according to the BHA rules & guidelines.
Providing Going Reports at the requisite stages for each race day & liaison with Trainers regarding the racing surface.
Working with the central ARC racing team and BHA race planning team to provide an appropriate and successful race program for Bath Racecourse.
Budget Management (inclusive of future planning).
Communication with central ARC marketing, events & hospitality teams (hubs) to ensure flow of information.
Liaison with the BHA inspector of courses for Bath Racecourse.
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulation on a daily basis.
Motivating & developing the Grounds/Estates Team.
Annual appointment of required Raceday staff (vets, doctors, stable manager, farrier, AFO etc.)
Regular communication with all stakeholders (Trainers, Owners, Jockeys, Stable Staff, RCA, BHA, Press etc.)
