The International Racing Bureau (IRB) is at the forefront of international thoroughbred racing, providing invaluable services to racing organisations, racecourses, trainers, owners and media outlets.
A unique opportunity has arisen to join the IRB and its small but dedicated team to work alongside the current Head of Trainers’ Service, with a view of taking over this role in due course. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the smooth daily running of this important department.
Trainers’ Service is an established department which provides a valuable service assisting trainers wishing to run their horses abroad. It is a demanding, full time, administrative role which includes finding suitable races for horses to race abroad, make overseas entries, assisting trainers from the initial entry through to declaration to run, and providing trainers with all the necessary information to make their decisions.
The ideal candidate should possess the following attributes:
A detailed understanding or racing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong planning and organisational skills
Good work ethic and flexible approach
