The Jockey Club stages thrilling sporting occasions including the The Cazoo Derby, the Moët & Chandon July Festival, Randox Grand National and The Cheltenham Festival. Millions of people every year enjoy the special experiences we offer through racing, music, food and entertainment on racedays and beyond. This is all made possible by our brilliant people, and this new role is at the heart of delivering those experiences within the East Region.
We are the largest commercial group in Britain’s second-biggest spectator sport (2017 turnover: £201.1 million), operating 15 racecourses nationwide, The National Stud, Jockey Club Estates, Jockey Club Catering, Jockey Club Live, Jockey Club Services and our charity, Racing Welfare.
Every penny we make goes back into British Racing to help the sport to thrive. Our vision is for British horseracing to be the best in the world for many years to come and for the sport to be accessible for millions of people in the UK to enjoy.
The person we are looking for is an exceptional office manager; someone who is organised, process driven and happy to get stuck in and help where needed. They will have experience driving the administrative function, ensuring effective and efficient systems are in place and best practise followed.
They are confident in establishing solid relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. They will be able to create engaging correspondence for Owners, Trainers and employees updating them on information throughout the racing season. They might be absolutely mad about horse racing, or sport in general… or they might appreciate the thrill of it all from a distance.
Most importantly, they will be open, innovative, inclusive, solutions focused, and a great addition to any team.
In addition we will offer you:
a supportive, fun but professional working environment
25 days annual leave
An attractive company pension scheme
an annual salary review
a substantial ticket allowance so you and family/friends can enjoy days out at our racecourses
many other Company wide benefits including a healthcare cash back scheme and ride to work etc
This role will be required to support on our Newmarket racedays.
