A centre of excellence in training staff for the horseracing industry, the British Racing School has been judged Outstanding by OFSTED. We now require a Course Coordinator and Tutor to organise the administration of industry courses and deliver sessions on life skills to the trainees at the British Racing School.
The successful applicant will be required to work 28 hours per week, ideally over 5 days but we can offer some flexibility.
They will be expected to carry out the following general duties:
Coordinate and plan industry courses at the BRS such as Trainers Modules, Racing Secretaries, Yard Managers etc.
Coordinate and teach some modules of the Life Skills Electives Programme (non exam) to trainees on the Foundation Course. Modules to be taught include:
• Basic IT Skills
• CV/Interview Techniques
• Leadership Skills
• Horse Project
Coordinate the Kickstart Scheme
• Knowledge of the horseracing industry.
• Candidates must have excellent administration and organisational skills.
• Confidence to prepare and deliver lessons to trainees on the Foundation Course and/or Kickstart Scheme.
Level 3 Diploma in Racehorse Care and Management.
Teaching/Teaching Assistant Qualifications.
