JM&Co. is delighted to exclusively assist our client in recruiting a newly created role to join their team as a Client Relationship Assistant.  Established for over 30 years, our client provides branding services to sponsors of events, mainly horse racing.  Their head office is in North Oxfordshire where sales, operations, artwork and management teams are based.  They have a unique process to define, design and deliver event branding nationwide with the scope and scalability to install large scale and complex projects in several locations at once.



Joining the company as a Client Relationship Assistant, you will become confident of visiting and building close relationships with our existing clients. Winning their trust, respect and loyalty by understanding their needs and exceeding their expectations.  You need to become confident of asking clients what they want, presenting ideas and giving sound advice that maximises promotion potential, crowd engagement and branding opportunities.

Job Description

 In this role you will learn and become confident of the following duties:

 Collaborating with the team to review client events and stock.

  • Communicating with sponsors to listen, diagnose, capture and advise on their brief.
  • Collaborating with our client’s Specification team to find better sites, innovate new products, develop fresh imagery.
  • Collaborating with the Projects team to add events and sponsors to our client’s systems.
  • Communicating and collaborating with venues to gain and negotiate sponsor’s rights allocations.
  • Collaborating with the Projects team to add suitable schedule margins to sell at an appropriate price to the client.
  • Presenting to the sponsor how our client has met their brief and justify the budget.
  • Capture sales schedules sign offs
  • Visit venues, sponsors, promoters or events as appropriate.
  • Encourage venues and promoters to recommend the business to other sponsors.
  • Get sponsor feedback post event and probe for potential cross sell to other sports or their colleagues.
  • Provide sales pipeline and progress reports monthly.


Personal Specification 

  • A strong work ethic, people person with strong commercial awareness.
  • Being involved or passionate about racing would be an advantage but not essential, you will need acquire industry, product and service knowledge.
  • You will need to be a competent user of Excel, Word and Outlook and willing to train on our client’s systems. 
  • Your own transport and ability to drive is essential due to the Company’s rural location and for client visits.


Experience Suggested 

  • Knowledge of how to capture individual client requests and provide the best possible customer solutions.
  • Demonstrated self-driven with a clear focus on high quality results.
  • Shows excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have the ability to learn in house bespoke database with full training provided.


Hours:   To suit visits or office hours (9.00am till 5.30pm, with half an hour for lunch).
