The Racecourse Marketing Executive will support the Head of Racecourse Marketing and the Marketing Team in coordinating the marketing between Racing UK and our 37 racecourses (+ 26 Irish courses plus Chelmsford from Jan 2019).

Reporting to the Head of Racecourse Marketing, the Racecourse Marketing Executive is required to liaise, communicate and work with the teams at our racecourses. The role is office based with some travel to racecourses required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support marketing campaigns (Pay TV and Affiliates) via racecourse activity
• Support Racecourse Objectives
– Support Racecourse Marketing activities including Social Media clipping
– Monthly analysis of racecourse social media clipping
– Support the HRM in building new relationships with the 26 Irish racecourses + Chelmsford

• Racing UK Club Days
– Coordinate the monthly club days. Liaising with racecourses
– Hosting of days on course
– Post event reporting and data analysis on behalf of the racecourses

• Racecourse Incentive Scheme
– Encourage racecourse engagement and participation.
– Work with the racecourses to formalise champion chase entries
– Monitor racecourses individual activity including their use of online and social platforms for Racing UK promotions for the Champion Chase initiative and any racecourse stories where Racing UK can support individual courses with re-tweets.
– Communicate deadlines, new campaigns/collateral and results

• Racecourse Branding
– Work with the HRM and racecourses to provide branding opportunities (subject to available budget)
– Ensure that all branding assets are in good condition and are up to date. Regularly auditing assets and keeping a record of assets on each course.

Required Skills/ Experience

• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, powerpoint and Excel
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work alone and as part of the broader marketing team
• Good organisational skills with strong attention
to detail
• An interest/passion for horse racing
• Racecourse marketing experience would be desirable
• Some weekend and evening work with willingness to travel within the UK & Ireland.

This role profile is a guide to the work you will be initially required to undertake. It may be reviewed from time to time to incorporate changing circumstances, and you may be required to be flexible and perform other duties as required by your manager. It does not form part of your contract of employment.
