Term Time Teaching Assistant required for the Newmarket Pony Academy.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a community project based at the British Racing School, designed to improve the health of disadvantaged and vulnerable children. We are looking for an enthusiastic part time teaching assistant who works well within a team and has a passion for helping young people. Previous experience with children and horse are essential and a positive attitude that can inspire the young people is a must.
Duties required include, but are not limited to:
Assisting Instructors in the classroom and riding lessons, including leading ponies Helping with the care of the ponies and horses, mucking out, sweeping etc Keeping the classroom and associated areas clean and tidy Caring for the children and helping them as needed throughout the day Desirable Skills/Experience:
Working with children and/or young people. Ability to interact confidently with people from a wide range of backgrounds. First aid qualification (can be achieved once in post) Working hours are 8am to 1pm Monday to Friday during school term time. Additional hours may be offered outside of these but there is no obligation to accept them.
