The British Horseracing Authority is the single governing and regulatory body for British Horseracing which ensures the continuing integrity and successful development of the sport. It is the BHA’s role to act for and on behalf of the whole sport, ensuring the highest standards for the sport and participants, on and away from the racecourse. Our vision is simple: to build a brighter future for our sport, our horses and our people.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a self-managed, progressive, motivated individual with relevant horseracing and demonstrable equine handling experience, who is capable of multi-tasking. You will work closely in the EWIO Team, Raceday Teams and Area Team Leaders, in delivering an Integrity Regulatory role.

The successful applicant will be required to uphold the security of Racecourse Stable Yards, safeguarding raceday integrity and racehorse welfare. In addition, ensure that racehorse identification checks are completed, sample horses at the racecourse and out of competition testing at training establishments.

Actively encourage and promote the flow of intelligence to support and strengthen the BHA’s regulatory and integrity focuses, in accordance with BHA Rules of Racing and the Standard Operating Procedures.

The successful applicants will have/be:

• Relevant, preferably horseracing experience, and highly competent in racehorse handling skills.
• A team player, recognising the importance of a cohesive, responsive, and collaborative team.
• Thorough and methodical, with the ability to strictly adhere to working procedures and SOPs.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain strong and effective working relationships.
• Awareness and understanding of the need for confidentiality and integrity due to working with sensitive and confidential information.
• Understanding of British Horseracing: structures and participants.
