RMF Training deliver education programmes in the community and training in custody. They are looking to recruit Trainers/Instructors to deliver and assess education programmes to prepare individuals to enter the workplace in the racing industry. Trainer/Instructors will deliver a set six-week programme of basic horse handling skills, care and welfare to enable individuals to work in stable staff roles. This programme of vocational education is designed to prepare prisoners to re-enter society and become economically active.
RMF Training are recruiting individuals with a good practical knowledge and experience of working in racing in a yard environment. It would be advantageous to hold a Level 3 Senior Groom or Level 3 in Racehorse Care & Management. Applicants must have good communication skills and knowledge of IT. RMF will support individuals to gain necessary teaching qualifications and will provide support with training delivery.
The postholder will contribute to the organisation, delivery and assessment of the equine education vocational programme at RMF training centres and in prisons.
To train/assess on a this equine vocational education programme.
To participate in the marketing and recruitment of students, via delivery of inductions for new
students within the agreed education and administrative framework.
To organise and deliver construction and plant training/NVQs within the curriculum areas and
contribute to developing new initiatives and new resources for education and training.
To support the learning goals of students within the company premises and in the Learning Centres through observation, assessment and guidance, be it through general tutoring, one-to-one tutorials, classroom style workshops or assessment marking.
To keep up-to-date with current developments and adapt to changes in the vocational area and the methods of delivery.
To ensure that student induction, tutorial and review processes, including the completion of records of achievement, are undertaken
To organise, administer and maintain student files and implement RMF recording system.
To liaise with the business development team in such a way as to increase the positive reputation that RMF should always strive to maintain.
To adhere to policies and procedures of RMF.
To contribute to the quality assurance process, including self-assessment.
