Description:
The British Racing School provides training for those wishing to work (or already working) in the racing industry, this training is delivered by an experienced team of Coaches. To help support their work, a Yard Manager is required to coordinate the exercise and care of circa 80 ex-racehorses on site. This will include giving guidance to trainees on stable management and overseeing their work in the yard.
The successful candidate will be an experienced manager in the horseracing industry (stud or racing stable), used to making decisions, with a very high standard of horse care. A rider will be welcomed but it’s not an essential requirement of the role. You will ordinarily work Mon to Friday and just one weekend in four.
While the role does not require formal delivery of coaching to young people, an understanding of the needs of the learners, a willingness to engage with and help them is essential.
