JETS Receives Important Funding Boost from the John Pearce Foundation
JETS is delighted to announce a new three-year funding partnership with the John Pearce Foundation.
Through the agreement, the John Pearce Foundation will provide £40,000 per year to support JETS' work in helping professional jockeys prepare for life beyond race riding. The Foundation recognised the important role that the charity plays in improving the lives of key participants in horseracing by enabling jockeys to move into sustainable long term careers and reducing reliance on welfare support.
As demand continues to grow for JETS services, this important partnership with the John Pearce Foundation will ensure that every jockey - current or former - can access timely, tailored support throughout their career journey, helping them maximise opportunities during their riding career, and transition confidently into life beyond racing.
Ultimately, the funding will help jockeys move confidently into their second careers, protect their wellbeing and ensure that those who give so much to the sport are supported to build stable, fulfilling futures.
